International warranty

Your Maison Boanton timepiece is covered against any manufacturing defects for 24 months from the date of shipment or handover, provided that the warranty card is dated and completed by Maison Boanton or an authorized point of sale.

Any repair or service performed by an unauthorized third party will automatically void the warranty.

Our warranty does not cover the following:

  • Damage resulting from improper handling
  • Normal wear and aging of the watch
  • Impacts
  • Loss or theft of the watch

If damage is caused by an unauthorized repair, your Maison Boanton watch will no longer be covered by the warranty, and any necessary repairs will be at your expense.

Instructions for Use

Caring for your watch daily

SETTING THE TIME ON YOUR WATCH

To set the time, simply pull the crown gently and rotate it in the direction that suits you. Once the time is set, push the crown back to secure it. After each use of the crown, ensure it is fully pressed against the case to maintain water resistance.

For more detailed instructions, we invite you to consult our user manual available for download.

Cleaning and storage

To maintain the shine of your watch, we recommend cleaning it with a microfiber cloth, paying particular attention to the strap.

The straps of Maison Boanton watches are made from noble materials, such as leather. As leather is a natural material, it will develop a patina over time. To preserve it, avoid contact with water, moisture, and cosmetic products.

When you're not wearing your watch, we recommend storing it in its case to protect it from shocks and scratches.

Leather Strap Care

The lifespan of your leather strap depends on its exposure and frequency of use. To maintain its appearance and quality, it is essential to avoid contact with water, oils, acids, and cosmetics.

Additionally, prolonged exposure to sunlight and UV rays can alter its color. To preserve its suppleness, we recommend gently cleaning the leather strap with a soft cloth or microfiber.

When not wearing your watch, store it in its case to prevent any damage. It is best to avoid using leather care products, as they may affect its texture and appearance.

Strap replacement

Our timepieces are equipped with a specially designed fastening system to ensure optimal security on a daily basis. Changing the strap is simple but requires the use of a screwdriver.

We use a traditional screw-down system, which ensures a strong and reliable fixation over time. The screw-down on the crown side should be done counterclockwise.

We recommend carefully consulting our user manual to avoid damaging the screws or the case of your watch.

Usage precautions

WATER RESISTANCE

Your Maison Boanton watch is water-resistant up to 5 bar/ATM. However, water jets from showers or faucets can easily exceed this pressure and compromise the water resistance of your watch. To maintain its water resistance, ensure the crown is always fully pressed against the case, especially before exposure to water.

As a general rule, we recommend avoiding wearing your watch during water-related activities and keeping it away from water, as this could damage the strap. Any damage caused by improper use of the watch will not be covered by the warranty.

Avoid operating the crown when your watch is wet, and never manipulate the crown under water. The water resistance of your watch is secured by gaskets that can be affected by wear, temperature changes, impacts, or cosmetic products.

If you notice condensation under the glass of your watch, this indicates that the water resistance system has been compromised. In this case, we recommend contacting our after-sales service center.

Immersion in saltwater or chlorinated water

If your watch has been immersed in seawater or chlorinated water, clean it immediately with a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm fresh water.

Avoid contact with chemicals, solvents, detergents, or abrasive agents that could damage the case, strap, or rubber seals.

Temperature variations

To protect the precision movement of your watch, avoid sudden temperature and humidity fluctuations (for example, high-temperature showers, saunas, steam rooms…).

Extreme temperatures (+60°C, -0°C) and thermal shocks can damage the movement.

VIBRATIONS & SHOCKS

To preserve the proper functioning of your watch, we recommend removing it during intense sports activities, such as tennis, golf, mountain biking, or any activity involving repetitive jolts or vibrations, such as motorcycling or cooking.

Vibrations and shocks can damage not only the external parts of the watch but also affect the accuracy of the movement. Any damage caused by improper use will not be covered by the warranty.

Magnetic fields

Magnetic fields, emitted by electronic devices such as phones, computers, or household appliances, can disrupt the functioning of your watch. It is important to avoid placing your watch near these sources.

Although our watches are designed to resist common magnetic fields, exposure to strong magnetic fields may affect accuracy by magnetizing certain movement components.

In such cases, please contact our after-sales service center or visit a watchmaker for a demagnetization procedure.
